Nurture your garden of intuition

Nurture your garden of intuition

You think your intuition was telling you something but aren’t sure.  Was it your imagination? Or maybe you’ve never had an intuitive thought in your life. Does this mean you too?  Yes. Yes you can! You can grow your natural intuitive abilities.

3 Ways Your Intuition Tells You if You'll Love That Job

3 Ways Your Intuition Tells You if You'll Love That Job

You are at an interview and want to make the best impression. This could be it! The job that will bring you the income and career you so desire. You've carefully selected your outfit, practiced a few questions in front of your sister, friend, or cat, and arrived early. You are answering the questions, and hoping they will see all the ways you are a great fit, that you will be a great worker, that your experience is relevant and that  . . .

Hang on a moment.  That's all fine and well, but are you paying attention to if this job is even for YOU?  Will you LOVE it?

Leaving a Legacy

Leaving a Legacy

One of the great teachers in my life is Dr. Wayne Dyer.  I use the present tense, because his teachings are very present in my life.  He was one of the first to teach me about spiritual principles.  He was the one of the first to show me how to use the spiritual principles in every day life.  And even though he is now on the other side, he left a legacy of knowledge, service, and charitable giving that stretches far beyond his impact on me.

Have you ever wondered, "what is my contribution?"

Ego says "quit," I say, "be quiet."

Ego says "quit," I say, "be quiet."

Has this ever happened to you? As you move toward the brink of new change in your life, your mind starts telling you all the reasons you should "just quit already!"  Me too.  And I hope this blog post gives you some relief and a moment of quiet to choose what really is for your highest good- to keep going, change tracks, pause for a bit, stop, etc.

Paying it forward doesn't have to cost a thing

Paying it forward doesn't have to cost a thing

When I saw the film "Paying it Forward" long ago, it struck a deep chord.   Throughout the film we see one act of kindness blossom to three, then nine, then build and gain momentum - creating a synergistic affect around the world. It was 16 years ago and became a big part of how I live my life . . .

I don't have to own it, for it to be a part of my experience

I don't have to own it, for it to be a part of my experience

Our egos like us to think that we have to own things to be happy.  This keeps us in the ever reaching cycle of always wanting that next thing, and never being satisfied.  I discovered a simple truth:

I don't have to own it, for it to be part of my experience.

Breathe.

Breathe.

It's what we do all day long. We breathe. In and out. In and out. All. Day. Long. Then while we sleep. We breathe. In and out. In and out. All. Night. Long.

Create your life: moment by moment

Create your life: moment by moment

One of the most simple and powerful spiritual tools is from Esther and Jerry Hicks called segment intending. Now, instead of reacting to life as though it's happening to me, I'm creating my life moment by moment.

The angels are talking to you ... and a Star Wars reference

The angels are talking to you ... and a Star Wars reference

The photo above is of me near Skellig Michael, the island off of the coast of Ireland, where there is a legend about Archangel Michael taming the dragon and bringing light during the dark time.  You may recognize the island as the one we find Luke standing on at the end of the recent Star Wars film.  The director says it is no accident the filming took place there.

What are the weeds of my life, what are the flowers?

What are the weeds of my life, what are the flowers?

I can decide if want to keep the garden as it is in front of me, or do some sculpting.  A little pulling of weeds here, planting new seeds there, protective mulch there, and some fertilizer to nourish over here. And sometimes, I pull stuff out by it's roots, because it just no longer belongs in my garden of life.

Over-apologizing

Over-apologizing

Has this happened to you? You make what others would see as a minor mistake, but your mind runs the event over and over and over, it tells you all kinds of ways you are bad because of it, and leaves you feeling so full of shame you want to crawl under a rock or apologize for days?

Manifesting Abundance

Manifesting Abundance

The key is knowing this simple truth: you are manifesting all day long anyway, so you may as well be intentional about what you want.

Simple

Simple

Ease, simplicity, peace.  Do you desire this in your life? Does the rush, rush, rush, of the world around you feel like the only way to live, the only reality?

Being actively present

Being actively present

A few weeks ago I witnessed my friend embodying active presence. In a moment where he could have been frazzled, he was peaceful, focused, and surrendered to universal timing.

Attitude of Gratitude

Attitude of Gratitude

A few months ago I wrote a blog about Gratitude.  Since part of sharing all of this with you is that it reminds me to practice it myself, I have been extra intentional since then about having an "attitude of gratitude." And you know what? I have received an abundance of thank you cards, emails, texts, and gifts.  Let's let that sit for a moment.

Your Valued New Year: Tossing Out Resolutions

Your Valued New Year: Tossing Out Resolutions

I don't need to quote research to let you know New Year's resolutions just don't work.  But a quick google search on "New Year's resolutions statistics" gives us a little relief that it's not just us that can't seem to stick with them.  Forbes' January 3, 2016 article states, "research suggests that approximately half of all Americans make New Year’s resolutions yet only 8% actually achieve them."

What does work?
